Number Porting - LNP (Local Number Portability)
WorldDialPoint can now provide Porting of PSTN and ISDN Numbers from Telstra / Optus and some other VoIP Service Providers nationally in every Call Collection Area, in every Standard Zone Unit.

Local Number Portability (LNP) provides a means for customers to change their physical network connection from one carrier to another and retain their existing telephone number(s).


WorldDialPoint can port numbers from the following carriers and carriage service providers:

Important: Trying to Port a number that has an active internet connection on the number (eg - ADSL / VDSL / FTTN) will or can result in loss of your Internet Connection. Numbers can be ported from PSTN, ISDN and VoIP Services provided by these Carriers and Carriage Service Providers.

Category A: (Single Line) Single number with no Fax Duet or any other type of service
Price Individual Numbers: $6.95 per number, per month
Port-In Charges (Once-off) Simple Number Ports (Category A): $50.00 per number per transmission
Port Rejection on CAT A A new Port request needs to be transmitted

Pricing: $6.95 per number ported per month
Number Ranges (Discount): $110 per month, per 100 Number In-dial Range

Confirmation of your number ported within 5-10 business days (Complex Ports can take up to 20 business days, Vocus / IiNet / Chime and Verizon Australia may take even longer due to their slow process).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Reminder to New Customers: Under the Australian Telecommunications Act we are only to allocate Geographic Numbers and Virtual Numbers to Customers whose Address matches the Address given for the Account and the SZU for that number. Please ensure that the correct address information is given and kept on file including Name and Address for the IPND. Calls made from Internal Numbers to Emergency Services will be sent a Dummy Number and asked for Address Details.

Under new regulations issued by the ACMA (Australian Communication and Media Authority) to the Telecommunications Numbering Plan 1997 Act. we have to provide every potential customer the New requirements dated 01/02/2011

Customers that are issued a standard telephone number eg. 02/03/07/08 number to receive calls via VoIP.

Calls to these type of numbers may be charged from the carrier as if the customer is located in the SZU for the number (eg. a person calling from Penrith NSW to an 02 number issued under the Sydney (SZU) number will be charged from their carrier as if they are calling a long distance call.
Customers that have ported their number from other carriers can port out. Requirement to port out: Customer needs to contact us, settle all outstanding payments with us and then we will supply the Carrier Account number to Port Out.
